2. Student privacy and security - We believe in putting students first. Protecting student privacy is a key consideration in the decisions we make.

3. Building features based on feedback and evolving practices in education - Since our launch 17 years ago, we have built the features that stakeholders are looking for, and refined them based on user feedback and best practices, resulting in tools that students actually love to use.

4. Engaging families in their students’ learning and growth - When families are engaged, students have the home support they need to develop a lifelong love of learning; it’s one of the best strategies to create a positive learning environment for all students.

5. Preparing for the future with competency-based education - We know that students are not graduating with the transferable skills necessary to be successful in emerging occupations (Humans Wanted Research Project, RBC 2018). By introducing 21st-century skills through experiential and reflective learning, skills like communication, collaboration, creative thinking, critical thinking, technology/media literacy, solution fluency, and adaptability are fostered; preparing today’s students for tomorrow's workforce.

6. Fostering long lasting partnerships - Since our launch, we have retained over 98% of our partners. We work with each district partner on a custom roll-out strategy that aligns adoption and investment over time, and meets evolving goals for student success.

7. Creating software that enhances the teachers workflow - We know that educators are busy and want to easily document student learning, personalize instruction, provide descriptive feedback, and engage in formative and summative assessment. We want to assist in that mission.
