Our Why

There have been incredible advances in curriculum development over the past decade, yet the opportunities for educators to find, select, procure, and implement these innovative learning programs remain antiquated.

In the age of digital information, with almost 14,000 school districts serving 132,000+ K-12 schools in the U.S., the ability to digitally connect school administrators, curriculum directors, and educational leaders with curriculum vendors is no longer a 'nice-to-have' option.

If we want students to meet rising standards and be exposed to cutting edge learning techniques and courses, digital access to curriculum is a must.

We require teachers to keep up with the technological advancements in teaching, yet we don't hold our internal systems to the same standard.

We've seen it firsthand.

Each year, educators participate in the messy and time-consuming process of purchasing curriculum while also fulfilling their great responsibilities as a teacher or administrator. Tasked with buying decisions that impact several years of student learning, and without a central hub to project manage, these leaders struggle to be successful. Dealing with sales calls and visiting conference exhibit halls often wastes time, money and adds to mounting frustration. It's stressful and overwhelming, and too often results in the newest and most innovative products being overlooked.

By simplifying the procurement process for educators and connecting them more readily to vendors who are innovative, forward-thinking, and offer authentic learning opportunities for kids, we dramatically improve teaching and learning in this country.

EdCuration was created for simplifying curriculum procurement. By bringing together vendors and educators in a more collaborative way, we can empower our schools to make real advancements in student learning.
