The NexGen News pilot program partners with elementary and middle schools to provide teachers access to the current events videos and curriculum.

Length of Pilot: 2 months

What will learners know and be able to do as a result of this pilot?
Teachers will be able to navigate the NexGen News platform and library and be able to utilize it with their students. Students will be able to apply critical thinking and media literacy skills to current events.

What training is provided to support pilot implementation?
One initial 60 minute training for teachers in-person or via Zoom. Then an optional 4 week check in on Zoom for 30 minutes, and a 30 minute wrap up meeting during week 8 in person or via Zoom.

What is included in pilot materials?
Access to the entire NexGen News digital library of videos and curriculum.
