Multicultural Learning & SEL Through Visual Arts
This ExPLoration will allow you to experience a small taste of the content and strategies you can use to integrate visual arts into core content to enhance multicultural and Social Emotional Learning. The arts are unique in their ability to help students make meaning and when paired with core content they increase engagement, collaboration, mutual respect and creativity. The Art Docent Program offers a humanities based visual arts program for grades K-8.

Denise Federico is a graduate or the renowned Fashion Institute of Technology. She achieved a high level of success in fashion design as a stylist, illustrator, fabric specialist, colorist and patternmaker. Since earning a second degree in Art History Denise has devoted her energy and passion to nurturing cultural and artistic enrichment for students of all ages.
